OUR HISTORY
Born as a small workshop in 1988 under the leadership of two young entrepreneurs, Fernando Valencia and Gustavo Villacreses, we have become a benchmark in the metalworking industry.
Driven by passion and dedication, we made our mark in the metalworking industry, manufacturing dies for auto parts of renowned brands such as Suzuki, Mazda, and Ford Courier. Throughout our history, we have expanded our range of products and services, ensuring quality and satisfaction for each of our customers.
1988
> 1988: Ecuamatriz was founded in the city of Ambato, Ecuador, as "Ecuamatriz Cía. Ltda." Ecuamatriz begins by producing dies for the manufacture of automotive parts for Suzuki F1 and 2 automobiles, as well as Mazda and Ford Courier trucks.
1996
> 1996: Ecuamatriz relocates to a warehouse in the Ambato Industrial Park. The electrostatic powder coating process is incorporated.
1998
> 1998: The electrical line (meter protection boxes with anti-theft system) is added to our product range.
1999
> 1999: Commencement of production of parts for the white goods industry (MABE). New products for the automotive line.
2013
> Inauguration of our new facilities in the Santa Rosa Ambato Parish.
2013
> Inauguration of our new facilities in the Santa Rosa Ambato Parish.
2017
> Implementation of the sanitation line.
2019
> Development of projects involving aluminum product injection.
2022
> Implementation and certification of ISO 9001:2015 and INEN standards.
2023
> Launch of LED luminaire line for public lighting with domestic addition. Launch of smart meter line with AMI system.
2024
> We celebrate our first 35 years with our clients, suppliers, partners, and collaborators.
2025
> We shape our future through the consolidation and diversification of our different business units.

True to our commitment to excellence, we at Ecuamatriz have earned the ISO 9001 and INEN certifications.
These recognitions endorse the quality of our products and grant us the authority to verify the quality of our internal processes through our own methods, approved by the relevant body (2021-2022).
